Ambitious Global Competitors
Our primary global competitors are dictatorships run by strongmen. They control their media and Internet, and they crush all dissent within their nations, which means there is no dissent. While that’s terrible for their citizenry, it can be advantageous for their leadership. They can focus on world domination without being slowed down by things like civil rights and justice. While we are grossly divided and unable to accomplish anything, our global competitors are working as one. While we appear to the world as bickering children flip-flopping on policy as one party replaces the other, our dictatorial competitors appear mature and stable.
Yes. One nation has used their economic might to eliminate dissent outside of their borders, including in the US. Companies and sports teams have been forced to adopt their messaging to continue doing business in their nation. Even employees and individual athletes have been forced the be silent on important issues for fear of losing access to this nation’s market.
As US citizens, now more than at any time in history, we must unite; we must find a middle ground; we must work earnestly and diligently to appreciate the troubles of our neighbors, to see and understand the world as they see and understand the world; and we must come together as one, indivisible nation to build and maintain our financial, military, and technological global leadership.
